So now coffee is giving me stomach problems and I am once again drinking tea...no not Southern tea but hot teas. It has been a long time but I am once again enjoying a cup of hot tea with honey and, for some reason, it makes me slow down.
My neighbors have gotten so used to me walking barefoot on the gravel and sitting in the gravel, grass or the rocks that they don't think anything of it now. Someone put a rock on top of a post that holds wire to keep the young trees straight and everyone thought it was me...wish it had been. Slowly, I'm getting free and sometimes even feel like a youngster again. I had forgotten the things I used to do to get over not being in control and having to obey absolutely everyone and not think for myself. My drawings are coming back slowly but surely, ideas for necklaces, paintings and just thoroughly beginning to enjoy life again.
For the past two evenings when Jake got home from work we actually sat and talked for about two hours. I know he's anxious to get out and on his own but it's going to take time to get the money together and find a place. He is enjoying his work and the people he works with, he is learning how to work with the one that always gives him problems and he doesn't seem as angry as he was when he first got here. I'm still fuming over those two "things" trying to pass themselves off as humans because they not only used him as a slave but they came back here in June and took everything out of his storage unit telling the manager that he moved out. Sorry to say, these "things" claim to be Christian and Republican.
I'm reading a book one of my client's wife gave me to read and while reading came across a book I need to put on my ever growing books to buy list.
Talking with other residents I am finding out that all of us were and are having a tough time getting used to this type of living. The apartments are beyond beautiful but they are apartments and sometimes feel like cages. Thank heavens there is a garden, several small lawns, young trees, flowers and other things. We are planning a large party when COVID19 decides to disappear. I'm meeting more tenants almost every day. We all have cars and there is a man who is willing to help out as well as two other men who have trucks and are willing to help pick up any furniture we ladies might want to buy. All in all it's really pleasant.
